Trump Wrong on European Aid to Ukraine
President Trump denies he withheld money to Ukraine for political reasons. He claims he was holding up the money “until such time as Europe and other nations contribute to Ukraine. Because they’re not doing it.” That’s wrong. The EU and European financial institutions have contributed more than $16.4 billion in grants and loans to Ukraine since 2014.
