President Trump claimed the United States’ involvement in Syria was originally supposed to last “30 days,” but experts told us they had never heard of such a plan. One called it “absolutely weird."
That was one of at least two misstatement of facts about the conflict after
announcing a withdrawal of U.S. troops in Syria at the border with Turkey.
