In a March 21 press briefing, President Donald Trump prematurely declared that automakers, including Ford and General Motors, were manufacturing much needed ventilators “right now.” GM says they could be ready to “ship as soon as next month,” while Ford says it could be May or June before it begins to produce them in mass.
